As interior designers, we’re always looking for companies that share our vision to create liveable spaces that don’t compromise style. Urban Electric Co. is one of these companies! For over 20 years, Urban Electric Co. has been the big name in luxury lighting, and for good reason. They combine craftsmanship and modern design to create timeless pieces you’ll love. Our recent trip to their headquarters in Charleston was an opportunity to see what they do firsthand.

A Commitment to Craftsmanship

Urban Electric Co. prides itself on its commitment to preserving American craftsmanship. Each piece is meticulously bench-made with the quality that comes from time-honored techniques. Their industry-leading lifetime warranty promises a finished product you’ll love for years to come. This dedication was evident in every corner of their operations, from the design studio to the manufacturing floor.

The Urban Electric Co Experience

New Collections and Collaborations

One of the trip’s highlights was seeing the latest editions and new fabric options from our favorite vendors, including Zak & Fox, VaryKino Décors Barbares, and Sister Parish. These collaborations exemplify what we love about Urban Electric fosters, blending top-notch design with luxurious materials

Behind the Scenes

One of the main events of our time in Charleston was our self-planned visit to Urban Electric’s headquarters. Touring the facilities, meeting the sales team, and witnessing the production processes was an incredible opportunity! The meticulous attention to detail so obvious in their work was in place at their plant as well, proving that their quality comes from within. Behind-the-scenes opportunities like this allow us to better educate our clients about the exceptional thought and effort that go into every Urban Electric product.

Exploring Charleston

We also got some time to sneak away and explore Charleston! From the #CharlestonOpen Women’s Singles and Doubles Tennis Tournament to the Kiawah Island Home Tours, the city had plenty to offer in our downtime. The restaurant and bar scene, along with quaint areas like Sullivan’s Island and the French Quarter, made it a trip we won’t forget!

Standout Pieces

During our visit, we were particularly impressed by several standout products:

Chisolm Clean: A timeless classic, the Chisolm Clean is both simple and elegant, making it a versatile addition to any interior.

Grayfoy: This fixture is a fun work of art with its uniquely shaped glass! It’s not your usual pendant, and that’s what makes it so special.

Lundy: The Lundy offers a variety of finishes, making it a chameleon piece in any setting. The ability to work for multiple styles and its quality make this one of my favorites!

Eddystone: Available in various sizes, the Eddystone can be a subtle addition or a bold statement piece making it an easy choice for any space!

Integrating Urban Electric Co in Our Projects

We are incorporating five Urban Electric products in some of our current projects, so get ready to see more of them in the future! Their fixtures’ versatility and quality make them a natural fit for our high-end designs.

Urban Electric Co: A Cornerstone in Luxury Lighting

This trip left us with a deeper appreciation for Urban Electric Co. and its dedication to luxury lighting. We’re already looking forward to our next visit, armed with even more insights to share with our clients!

Urban Electric Co. not only met but exceeded our expectations, reinforcing its place as a cornerstone in luxury lighting. As interior designers, we are inspired by their craftsmanship and creativity, and we can’t wait to incorporate more of their fixtures into our projects. Until next year, Charleston!
