Hi there, I’m Minneapolis Interior Designer Renae Keller, the creative mind behind Renae Keller Interior Design (RKID). My journey into the world of interior design is a blend of passion, dedication, and a deep appreciation for the art of storytelling through spaces. 

The Birth of Minneapolis Interior Designer RKID

After gaining invaluable industry experience at two esteemed design studios, I knew the moment was right to serve clients in a more personal way with my expertise, and opened the doors to RKID in January 2010. From its birth, RKID has given me the opportunity to bring my client’s vision to life and create a space they love. 

The Heartbeat of Interior Design Storytelling 

For me, interior design is about more than just creating beautiful spaces; it’s about capturing the essence of my clients’ lives and translating that into tangible, transformative designs. Whether it’s through the layout of a room, the selection of materials, or the final finishing touches, each element tells a story – your story.

What I love most about the interior design process is the ability to curate a client’s home to fit their life. It’s about creating spaces that are not only visually stunning but also purposeful and deeply personal.

Lessons Learned and Inspiration Found as a Minneapolis Interior Designer 

Leading RKID has been a journey of growth, learning, and profound connection. I’ve had the privilege of peeking into my clients’ everyday lives, and it’s a responsibility I don’t take lightly. Every project is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact and to create spaces that bring joy, comfort, and inspiration.

As for inspiration, I find it everywhere – in the beauty of nature, the rhythm of city life, the hustle and bustle of people, big buildings, and signs around town, and the simple pleasures of everyday living. Whether I’m traveling to new destinations, exploring vintage markets, visiting IMS (International Market Square) here in Minneapolis for some local inspiration, or simply closing my eyes and letting my imagination roam, I draw inspiration from the world around me to spark my design approach with creativity and soul.
