I love the holiday season, things seem to slow down and speed up all at the same time. After Thanksgiving it is hard to stop the process of reflection as we near the most sentimental part of this time of year, Christmas and New Years. Looking back on 2017 we have had some major milestones for RKID and highlighting them and showing credit where credit is due is what this post is all about. Last but not least is…

4. Rebranding

After being in business since 2010 independantly we have invested in a new website that offers more information initially for potential clients. It tells more about our story, what we do here at RKID and what we have to offer our future clients. Collaborating with talented Creatives was amazing to get the job done and we couldn’t have done it without them. Graphic designers, web designersfloral artists and business coaches all participated. It came together for a fabulous reveal and we haven’t looked back!

3. Working with Otto Painting and Design

Darryl Otto of Otto Painting and Design is such craftsman and master in his own right. He just worked on a mother of pearl ceiling and repainted a room of dark wood cabinets and crown for us. He has been a great asset in making a cohesive feel in the ongoing House Project’s main level. It has really brightened up the room immensely and had us all standing there asking why it took us this long to do this? Sometimes you just need to live in a space before the inspiration comes- as so we have artfully learned this time around. The grasscloth wall paper treatment is going up as we speak…we can’t wait to reveal the room to you in the coming weeks. It is going to be our best addition to their home yet.

2. A New Build From Start to Finish

At RKID this past quarter we have started to dive into a project a new build with a fantastic team composed of the Builders of Hage Homes and the Architects over at Murphy & Co. We cannot wait to reveal the talents of this team and see the client’s excitement when they get to see their finished home!  Keep a look out for details this winter. It is a project that will be documented from now till mid-summer and will definitely be a feature of many instagram posts to come.

1. Weatherwood Hills Addition

The Weatherwood Hills project was very satisfying.  We merged a sizable remodel onto an existing older home. With lots of patience we got it accomplished and it has turned out to be a great addition to the family. After installing furniture in April and tying up loose ends in May the refinement of the details occurred  by July for a family party celebrating a Bat Mitzvah.  The goal of the project was to make the home as functional as possible for the clients professional entertaining aspect of their job. Hosting friends, family and colleagues was at the top of their list of needs and we definitely accomplished that with this one. The client couldn’t believe that they could use their home for work so efficiently.
